CAUSES OF BUBBLE PROBLEMS.

Bubble prevention tips.

#1. Application surface too hot.

Make sure vehicle is cool to touch
and not in direct sunlight. If the vehicle
is hot when decal is applied
small bubbles will appear.

#2. Not enough application fluid.

Make sure you apply enough fluid
so your hand can easily slide over
the adhesive with no resistance.

#3. Poor Squeegeeing.

Completely squeegee down the decal
not missing any spots. Make sure you
squeegee starting in center and working
to edges. Be careful not to miss any
spots, use overlapping strokes.
Continue until all fluid is removed.

After you completely squeegee down
the decal wet the top tape, this helps to
relieve the stiffness.

Re-squeegee the wet decal.
You will notice the decal releasing from the application to tape and the decal flattening out on the vehicle.

More tips.

#4. Re-squeegeeing.

If you need to re-squeegee, spray the
wetting solution on the decal and
squeegee carefully. The wetting solution
will lubricate the stripe and keep the stripe
from being gouged or marked. GO EASY.

#5. I have bubbles, HELP?.

Small bubbles and wrinkles should go
away with the heating and cooling of the
daytime sun. Be patient it takes a month
or two. If your bubbles are large see #6.

#6. 3M recommendation for puncturing decals.

Puncture the film at one end of the bubble with a pin,
be careful not to damage vehicle.
Use your thumb to push the trapped air or wetting
solution toward the puncture.
Wetting your thumb first will make you thumb slippery,
this will be helpful. See photo below:
