Decal Removal Tips.

Decal Removal.

Decal removal can be a long process at times.
A heat gun and non-scratching putty knife or squeegee will help you along.

1. Use the heat gun to warm up the decal and surface
     but be careful not to damage the paint.
     Always keep the heat gun moving.
     NOTE: A hair dryer will not generate enough heat to remove the decal.

2. Use the non- scratching putty knife or squeegee to get
the decal started and then pull decal off from edge.

3. Once the decal and car are at the right temperature
       the decal should peal up nicely.
     NOTE: Old decals take more time and are harder to remove.
                      Reflective decals are very hard to remove.

4. Clean all surfaces with a naphtha base cleaner to
       remove all adhesive residue.
       Note: Always test any solvent or cleaner before using on an area of
                     your car that won't show, to test compatibility.

5. Take your time.
