Application Conditions and Tips.

Conditions: You Must Have:

1. A clean environment, no wind or hot direct sun.

2. Vehicle free of wax and dirt. Read more.

3. Vehicle temperature 60 degrees and
     must be cool to touch. Read more.

4. Vehicle must stay at least 40 degrees or warmer
    for 48 hours after installation.

Installation Tips:

1. Do not dip or submerse decal in a pail of water.
Today's decals are made with a pressure sensitive adhesive
on the back, and are more commonly known as peal and
stick decals.

2. Application Fluid.
You will need to made a wetting solution to install large decals.
We also sell commercially made Application Fluid.

3. Trimming and Cutting.
Sometimes the stripe kit you purchased requires trimming or
cutting to complete the installation.
It is usually better to install the stripe on the vehicle and trim
after to finish. If you are using the wet application, this will give
you extra time and also allow for forming.
A heat gun can help with stretching and forming, this is rare with
the stripe kits we sell but sometimes necessary. Use caution,
the heat can melt a vinyl stripe in seconds.

4. Waxing after the job.
All shiny stripes can be waxed.
Do not wax dull finish stripes. MATT BLACK
You can wax your car and stripes a few days after installation.
Let the sun bake your stripes a few days before waxing to
assure a good bond.

5. My stripes look hazy?
Don't Panic! This is not uncommon and 3M has the answer.
The hot sun is your cure. A few days in the hot sun and all
the imperfections (haze, bubbles, small wrinkles, etc)
will disappear and then wax as normal.

6. Clear coating?
NO! It is not recommended to clear coat decals after installation.

7. I don't know what to do?
